Zouk Lab consists of special classes that we categorize as Phase 2 in our learning methodology, and are complementary to learning Basics A through C. These classes cover special topics related to foundations, connection, and more, looking a little deeper into the technique that make leading and following more effective. These classes are offered every couple months (not as progressive series) since each topic takes some time for the mind and body to process.
Our next Zouk Lab will be held on:
Tuesday, 08/20/24 at 7:40pm - Points of Contact
**with a practice social from 9:00-9:30pm**
VENUE:
Maiden Motion - 1320 W Cary St, Richmond, VA 23220
Registration opens August 14th. Signing up in advance is very much appreciated to help your community builders plan ahead.

At Zouk Lab, we won't be reviewing any basic footwork as we expect Zouk Lab students to already have this knowledge. Even with experience in other dance styles, we believe partner dance is like a conversation, and having a conversation can become challenging without a vocabulary. If you haven't learned at least 5 of the 10 basics in Brazilian Zouk, we highly recommend signing up for our beginner classes first.
Yes! Zouk Lab classes focus on improving the execution of things you already know about Brazilian Zouk. That said, you only need Basics A to participate in Zouk Lab, but finishing both Basics A & B will give you more things to apply it to.
